Concrete Resurfacing in Toronto with Microcement

ARTELIME is a concrete contractor in Toronto for interior concrete resurfacing with Microcement: floors, walls, stairs, countertops and vanities, with no demolition.

Old concrete floors, tired stairs and dated countertops are usually replaced. Often they do not need to be. ARTELIME is a concrete contractor in Toronto for interior concrete resurfacing with Microcement. We put a new concrete-look surface about 2 to 3 mm thick over what you already have.

We do interior work only. For driveways, sidewalks or foundations you need a different kind of concrete contractor.

Concrete Resurfacing

Worn, stained or patched concrete floors, walls and stairs can be resurfaced in microcement. We repair cracks, grind or prime the base, apply mesh-reinforced base coats, then the finish coats and a sealer. The result looks like polished concrete without pouring a new slab or waiting weeks for it to cure.

Microcement Countertops & Vanities

Kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities and built-in benches can be resurfaced to match a microcement floor or wall. The surface is sealed against water and staining. Hot pots should still go on a trivet.

Concrete-Look Wall Finishes

Want a concrete wall without the weight of real concrete? Microcement gives the same look on drywall, cement board or old tile, in matte or satin. It suits living rooms, offices, shops and restaurants.

Microcement Over Existing Tile

Old tile can also be resurfaced. If it is well bonded, microcement goes straight over it, which saves demolition and a lot of dust.

Why resurface instead of replace?

  • No demolition and much less dust and noise.

  • Floor heights and door clearances barely change.

  • A finished room is usually ready in about a week.

  • One finish can run across floors, walls and furniture.

Is your concrete a good base?

Most indoor concrete is. Problems come from active cracks, movement or moisture. We check for all three during the free consultation and fix them before any coat goes on.

Where we work

We work across Toronto, including Rosedale, Forest Hill, Leslieville, The Annex, Etobicoke, North York and Scarborough, and across the GTA in Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Brampton, Richmond Hill and Oakville. See all service areas.
